BETHALTO — Arthur "Artie" Lee Shaw, 78, of Bethalto, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 19th, 2020.

Artie was born on January 31, 1942 in St. Louis. He joined his late wife Gail, married for over 60 years, just 48 hours after her passing. Artie proudly served in the United States Army Infantry Division from 1963-1966, even serving in the Korean War.

Artie is survived by his brother-in-law, Wayne Edelen; his four children, Jeff and Rhonda Shaw of Kentucky, Kristin and Todd Dailey of Bethalto, Lisa Pruitt of Bethalto, and Melissa McClusky and Terry Patterson of Wood River; his grandchildren Brittney Dailey, TJ Dailey, Austin, Taylor, and Daylin McClusky, Payton Patterson, Cody Anders, Holly Barton, Amber O'Malley, Dakota Stowers, Stephanie Kimbro; his beloved friend, Tracy Shaw, and several great-grandchildren, including Carson & Kynlee McClusky and Carter Gleason.
