Wood River--Betty L. Stormer, 96, passed away at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony's Hospital.

Born Jan. 31, 1926 in Alton, she was the daughter of Charles and Edna (Chambers) Maynard.

She married Edwin R. Stormer in 1947.  He passed away Jan. 9, 1996.

Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband and especially liked going to yard sales and antique auctions.

Surviving are her son, Gerry Stormer of Wood River; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle, Ray and Ryan; and one great grandson, Nolan.

Besides her husband, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Randy Stormer.

According to her wishes there will be no services.
