Alton—Carol Ann Gaither, 66, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Riverside Rehab and Healthcare in Alton.

Born Feb. 14, 1954 in Alton, she was a daughter of Mary (Glassmeyer) Moody of Alton and the late Harry Perkins.

Carol worked in the dietary department at Head Start for several years.

Survivors include her sons, Joe (Patty) Gaither of Brighton, Jason Gaither of House Springs, MO, and Richard (Nikki) Gaither of Godfrey; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Jeris (Melvin) Allen and Valerie (David) Balaco, all of Alton; two brothers, John Perkins of Alton and Brooke (Annie) Moody of Edwardsville; and numerous extended family members.

In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lee White and Cristine Perkins; and two brothers, Joseph Perkins and Richard Paul Perkins.
