Mary Catherine (Dalton) Anderson brought unmistakable laughter, light, and joy to every room she entered, and we have no doubt heaven is a little brighter with her there. She did not lose her battle with cancer, rather, she won by choosing to live each day to the fullest, no matter what life dealt, with fierce determination, courage and strength, and an immaculate sense of humor she never lost, not even in her last weeks Earthside. Cathy lived to give; it was the true epitome of her heart.

Her mom Delores often recalls Cathy's biggest goal in life was to become a mom herself, and she was her happiest when she was fulfilling that role with James and Kelsey. She was an incredible Mimi to five grandchildren, a doting mom to two, a devoted wife, nurturing sister, the first-born daughter, and lifelong friend to all who knew her. To know Cathy was to love and laugh with her.

Cathy was preceded in death by her brothers, Louie and John Dalton, her father, Skip Dalton, her father and mother-in-law, Jim and Doris Anderson, and her sister-in-law, Deborah Anderson. She leaves behind countless people who cherished her, and it is our wish that each will choose to live a few moments each day in honor of Cathy, with an abundance of good jokes, a loving heart, and the most generosity of spirit.

A celebration of life will be held June 28th from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Greater Alton Church in Rosewood Heights, IL.
