Wood River—Clifton James Davis, IV, 47, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his home.

Born Aug. 3, 1978 in East St. Louis, IL, he was a son of Clifton Davis, III and Barbara (Gill) Williams.

Clifton loved music, especially the bass.  He could talk about bass and his subs for hours.  He enjoyed finding new places to eat, was a huge Raiders fan, and he also loved his dogs.

Surviving are his children, Jordan Davis, Amaya Bentley, Savannah Bock-Davis, Brooklyn Bock-Davis, Jeramiah Bock, and Dalvin Davis; Dakota Phillips, who he thought of as a son; five grandkids, Delanie Hariston, Jayden Davis, Devyn Davis, Adrian Bentley, and Everly Bentley; sisters, Shelia Howlite, Victoria Davis, Angela Jordan; Roena Davis, Sarina (Kimberly) Johnson-Davis, and Diedria Hughes; brothers Denandre (Tamiko) Jones, Kevin Stewart, Christopher Davis, and Michael Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vermell Davis; and brothers Ivory Davis, Mikel Davis, and Cortez Davis.
