Daris Ann Werner, 80, of Bethalto passed away February 24, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 29, 1943 in Metropolis, IL to Louis Henry and Ernestine Patricia (Hines) Gurley.

Daris was a beautician and enjoyed dancing, dining and traveling.

She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her three sons, Terry (Nihal) Werner of Flagstaff, AZ, Michael Werner of Bethalto and Ty Werner of Fairview Heights; grandchildren, Jacob Werner of Bethalto and Osman Werner of Flagstaff, AZ and her former husband and longtime friend, Curtis Werner of Marissa.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.  Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
