Donna E. Laster, 87, formerly of East Alton passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Kampsville, IL.  She was born August 27, 1937 in Vandalia, IL to Gerald and Nelda (Schmollinger) Bandy.

She married Charles T. Laster March 13, 1954 in Sardis, MS; he preceded her in death February 6, 1997.  Donna was a homemaker and longtime Girl and Cub Scout Leader, Cub Scout Master and a volunteer librarian in the East Alton Schools.  In her later years she enjoyed reading, especially her bible, nature and loving on her family.

She is survived by her son, John Laster; two daughters, Kim (Steve) Dixon and Kathleen Green; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister in law, Charlene Bandy and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Kevin Laster and siblings, Gerald Bandy Jr, Larry Bandy and Michael (Shirley) Bandy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon, Monday, December 30, 2024 at Paynic Home for Funerals in East Alton; followed by a funeral procession to Rose Lawn Memory gardens for graveside services.  Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.
