Rosewood Heights—Donna Marie Piro, 88, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy.

Born June 19, 1938 in Bethalto, she was a daughter of Walter and Violet (Wiley) Neumann.

Donna worked as a secretary for Southern Illinois Distributing.

She married Charles Franklin Piro Aug. 10, 1985 in Godfrey.  He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Tommi Ragan of Hartford and; a son, Kenneth (Deborah) Ragan of Bethalto; 6 grandchildren, Joe (Tessie) Ragan, Crystal Swiecicki (Jerry Hale), Amber Swiecicki, Clint (Sam) Swiecicki, Nolan Ragan, and Erin (Ethan) Adams; and the "Dirty Dozen" great grandchildren, Nathan, Lucas, Briana, Dakota, Corbin, Callie, Brooke, Aubrey, Jayce, Weston, Max and Raylee.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Oma Heepke; and two brothers, Walter Neumann and Tom Neumann.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 31 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until 11:15, at which time a procession will travel to Rose Lawn Memory Gardens for a graveside service at 11:30 a.m.
