Dorothy Ellen Hartman, 93 of East Alton passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at her home in East Alton. She was born January 8, 1933 in Roxana to William Charles and Myrtle Irene (Jones) Hambleton. She married Richard Lee Hartman July 17, 1954: he preceded her in death March 18, 1985.

Dorothy decorated cakes for 25 years.  She made many beautiful wedding cakes. She was a member of the Wood River Community of Christ Church and in her free time enjoyed crafting.

She is survived by her son, Richard Lynn (Marietta) Hartman of Bull Shoals, AR; daughters, Cathy (Rick) Marshall of East Alton and Ruth (Rick) Menz of East Alton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, JoEllen Irene Extrom; brothers, David J., Richard Louis and William Charles Hambleton and sisters, June Ferguson and Mary Elizabeth Hambleton.
