Harold Pratt, 82, of East Alton passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his home.  He was born February 20, 1941 in Green County, Illinois to Thomas C. and Cleo (Scott) Pratt.  He worked at Olin for over 40 years retiring in 2002.  He married Barbara Allen in 1976; she preceded him in death in 2001

Harold loved his cat and enjoyed cars, visiting and spending time with friends and family and gardening; he had a green thumb.

He is survived by his son, Brad Pratt of Benld; daughters,  Lonnie (Brett) Allen of Troy, Stephanie (Donnie) Childers of East Alton and Kristy Gaines of Osage Beach, MO; 11 grandchildren, Christina Pratt, Jessica Pratt, Stephen Allen, Benjamin Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Nathan Childers, Brandon Childers, Otis Adam Osborn, Samuel Osborn, Jill Gaines and Krista Gaines and thirteen great grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and step-mother, Marjorie Pratt and a daughter-in-law, Dee Pratt.

Visitation will from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Paynic Home for Funerals in East Alton.  Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.  Online guest book available at www.paynicfh.com Memorials can be made to the Humane Society.
