Troy IL--Jared Andrew Faulkner, 51, formerly of Granite City and Roxana, passed away at his home on Friday, February 16, 2024.  Jared lived a life marked by compassion and commitment to his loved ones.  He will be remembered for his kindness and positive impact on those who knew and worked with him.

Born Aug. 9, 1972, in Belleville, IL, Jared was the son of Roy Sidney Faulkner and Carolyn Sue (Troyer) Faulkner. Jared pursued a passion for music, earning a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance degree from Southern Illinois University. Jared shared his musical talents as an organist and choir director, contributing his skills to various area churches including a 28-year tenure at St. John United Church of Christ in Wood River, IL.

Jared's intellectual curiosity led him to further studies in computer technology at UMSL. He applied his knowledge and skills as the Director of Information Technology for 27 years at J. F. Electric, Incorporated, and Utilitra, LLC, both in Edwardsville.

Jared is survived by three brothers, Frank (Kathy) Faulkner, Greg (Susan) Faulkner, and Anthony (Cindi) Faulkner, all of Granite City, and a close cousin, Wayne (Cathy) Welborn of Moro, who cherish the memories of his laughter, wisdom, and love. In addition to his family, Jared leaves behind a close circle of friends who will miss his camaraderie.
