Jeanne E. (Pruetzel) Mourning, 70, of Rosewood Heights passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born June 12, 1953 in Millstadt, IL to Orville L. and Esther I. (Snofke) Pruetzel.  Jeanne worked as a paralegal until her retirement.

She is survived by two sons, Nathan (Judy) Mourning of Mehlville, MO and Matthew (Krista) Mourning of Rosewood Heights; two daughters, Jessica Mourning of Rosewood Heights and Lindsey (Jared) Gernigin of Wood River; grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Chase, Madelyn, Kasen, Priscilla and Cordelia; a brother, Lowell Pruetzel of Rosewood Heights; a sister, Ruth (Ron) Ryder of Arab, AL and the father of her children, Bruce Mourning of Wood River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Pruetzel; sister, Sylvia Lieberman, niece, Olivia Pruetzel and nephew, Tyler Pruetzel.
