John D. Krpan, 92, of Alton passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital.  He was born March 10, 1928 in Wood River, IL to Dan and Manda Krpan.  He married Shirley Baldridge in 1974; she preceded him in death.  John worked at Owens Illinois Glass and the Belle Street Post Office until he retired.  He was an avid Cardinals fan. He enjoyed wood working and he loved animals.  He also loved visiting with friends and taking long drives with his sister up the River Road.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Buchanan of Wood River; sisters in law Jeanne and Delores Krpan; special friends, John Carll and Pastor Jim Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Krpan; five brothers, George, Michael "Mikey", Anthony "Aunto", Jack "Cooksie", Peter "Petra" and Thomas Krpan; nephew, Peter A; niece, Madeline Ray and Uncle, Marko
