John D. Leonard Jr., 54, of Bunker Hill, IL passed away, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.

He was born April 6, 1967 in Santa Ana, CA.  He was an avid Cardinals fan and could quote many statistics about them.  He loved reading his Bible and read it several hours every day. When he was younger, he also enjoyed collecting baseball cards.

He is survived by maternal mother, Helen (Johnston); stepmother Beverly Leonard; half siblings, Steven (Tara) Leonard, Robert (Mary) Yonts, Stacy (Brian) Fredrickson and Melissa (Jason) Simons; care takers and friends at South Lawn Sheltered Care; and aunts and uncles, Etta Jane and Jerry Leonard and Ralph and Paulette Leonard, as well as many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Leonard, Sr.; grandparents, Ray and Doris Leonard; and an uncle, Glenn Leonard.

A memorial service is to be conducted by Reverend Joe Sheets at First United Methodist Church in Chester, IL on Saturday, Apr. 9, 2022.  Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m., with the service to be held at 11:00 a.m.  Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
