Cottage Hills, IL- Kandice Marie Spink (Smith), 30, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Born Oct. 6, 1993 in Alton, she is the daughter of Tina Osborn (Depper) and the late Arthur Eugene Smith, Jr.

Kandice was a loving mother that cherished her bond with her son more than anything in the world. She was always loving on her 3 fur-babies and treated every child as her own. She loved making people laugh and was always dancing and singing. She never met a stranger. She was truly beautiful inside and out and everyone naturally gravitated towards her.

She married the love of her life, Curtis Spink, on July 23, 2021 who was not only her person, but her best friend. He will miss her dearly, as will her son, Mason Torti of Greenville; her mother, Tina Osborn (Depper); her siblings, Alexander Brooks of East Alton, Ciara Cunningham of Pontoon Beach, and Stephen Smith of East Alton; her chosen sisters, Brittany Spink of Granite City and Adrianne Karl of Staunton; her grandmothers, Carol Chapman of Carlinville and Marcella Smith of Alton; aunts, uncles and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Braylin Torti and her grandfathers, Arthur E. Smith, Sr. and Larry Depper, Sr.

Rather than mourning her passing, Kandice would want everyone to celebrate her life.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 18 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9:00 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
