East Alton -- Maribelle M. Evans, 73, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at her home.

Born December 25, 1948 in Reno, Illinois, she was a daughter of Leonard Paul and Anna Margaret (Patton) Carter.

She worked as an adjuster for Olin Winchester for thirty years, retiring in 2006.

Survivors include her two sons, Nicholas Terry of East Alton and Bryon (Sherri) Terry of Texas; three grandchildren, Codey (McKenzie) Terry, Ashley (Gabriel) Edwards, and Samantha (Christopher) Knight; six great grandchildren, Cohen Terry, Joey White, Charles Edwards, and Hailey, Harper, and Jaxon Knight; a sister, Ruthann Campbell of Hartford; her brother, Tom (Helen) Carter of Bethalto; and two nieces and a nephew, Kelly Sawyer, Doug (Joy) Sawyer, and Michelle (Marcus) Rounds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter, Alannah Knight.
