Marion L. Garrigus, 98, of Wood River passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.

He married Mary "Kay" Tappy in August 14, 1943 in St. Charles, MO; she preceded him in death November 3, 2007.   Marion worked for Clark Oil for over 40 years retiring in 1988.  He served his Country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Jackie Davis, Timothy Cain, David Bedwell Jr. and Charles Starr; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a sister, Martha Rennick.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his son, John Garrigus; daughter, Sandra Starr; grandson, Gordy Cain II and granddaughter, Tracie Cornelius.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of services at noon, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.  Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com
