Litchfield—Michael Joesph Clark, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

He was born Apr. 9, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL.  Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, hunting arrowheads, and listening to rock 'n roll music.

Michael was a loving father to his children, Angel Michelle Whitten of Greenwood, IN, Samantha Jo Whitten of Springfield, IL, Lucas Michael Clark of Litchfield, and Alexa Nicole Clark of Litchfield, and their mother, Rebecca Whitten, and three more daughters, Shari Lynn Murphy of East Alton, Cathy Jo Saylor Astuto of Rochester, NY, and Chrissy Michelle McIntosh of St. Louis, MO. He was a loving PaPa to his grandchildren, Ariel Terrell, Jazmine Whitten, Isaac Moto, Olivia Chandler, Madalynn Clark, Emily, Hannah, and Madison Astuto, and Richard, Jr., Emmett, and Michael McIntosh.  Also surviving are his brother, Patrick Clark of Bismarck, MO and his sister, Deborah Lawson of Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Clark and his mother, Betty (Wheat) Wallace.

A Celebration of Michael's life will be held 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Litchfield VFW Post #3912, 215 W. Ryder St., Litchfield, IL  62056.
