Troy, IL—Michael H. Karl, Sr., 79, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born July 20, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, IL, he was the son of Michael H. and Sara Frieda (Craig) Karl.

He retired as an estimator and inventory control for Nooter Corporation.  He was a member of Riverbend Calvary Chapel in Rosewood Heights.

Mike and the former Noella Clark Twaddell were married March 28, 1996.  She preceded him in death Aug. 8, 2021.

Survivors include a daughter, Trina (Shawn) Vetter of Glen Carbon; two sons, Michael H. "Kaz" Karl, Jr. of Jonesboro, GA and Ronald (Amy) Karl of Barnhart, MO; six grandchildren, Corwin, Evander, Erik, Nicolas, Alexis and Max; a sister, Frieda Marie Burns of Alton: and a great niece who cared for him, Sara Noelle Burns.
