Worden—Richard "Rick" Alan Paul, 69, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born Jan. 16, 1954 in Alton, he was a son of Earl F. and June P. (Gross) Paul formerly of Edwardsville.

Rick worked for nearly 30 years for the Village of Worden - he will be dearly missed by those in the Village he called his friends.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting with lifelong friends as well.

Survivors include his close friend Gladys Arnold of Staunton; brother, Dennis E. (Susan) Paul of Bethalto; three nephews, Brian K. (Amy E.) Paul of Edwardsville, Bradley (Jeff) Tait of Madison, WI, and Andrew D. Paul and Blenda Hardas of East Alton.

A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held at The Rustic, 115 E. Wall St., Worden, IL on Sunday,. Sept. 10 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
