Wood River—Russell E. Boone, Sr., 54, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 7, 1966 in Alton, he was a son of Richard E. Boone, Sr. and Juanita (Vollmer) Boone.

He worked as a dental technician at Hi-Tec Dental Lab for over 30 years.  Russell restored and made watches.  He loved listening to music, camping and generally being outdoors, and spending time with his kids.  He also whittled for a time.

He is survived by his children, Russell E. Boone, Jr. of Collinsville, Hanna Boone of Oakwood, IL, and Connor Boone of Wood River; two sisters, Jerrie Lee (Keith) Hattery of Holiday Shores and Cynthia (Thomas) Boone-Lowe of South Roxana; a brother, Richard E. (Paula) Boone, Jr. of East Alton; his dear friend Pam Baldwin of Wood River; and wife and mother of his kids, Crystal Boone of Granite City.
