Shirley Ann Manning (Ballentine), 89, of Rosewood Heights, IL, passed away on July 17, 2023.

Shirley was born on December 19, 1933 to Jemes Hervey and Lillie Mae Ballentine in Steele, MO. She graduated from Steele High School in 1951.

Shirley married Patrick Tracy Manning on March 15, 1969. They had three children together, Brian Patrick, Anne Marie, and Michael Aaron.

Once she had children, Shirley remained a stay-at-home mother to raise and care for her family.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry, husband, Patrick, three children, Brian, Anne, and Michael, and granddaughter, Lillie.

Per the deceased's request, there will be no formal wake, funeral, or service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's research at https://www.alz.org/, an organization that specializes dementia and Alzheimer's research and the quest for a cure.
