Brighton—Steven Charles Bannister, 56, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at his home.

Born Jan. 15, 1966 in Jerseyville, he was a son of Donald Wayne and Betty Marie Bannister.

A union carpenter, Charlie enjoyed cooking, tinkering with various items, boating and playing golf.  He was an avid Cardinal fan and also enjoyed watching golf and football games.  He loved his cats.

Surviving are his loving friend, Melody Eales of Brighton; his daughter, Samantha Bannister of Maryland Heights, MO; two brothers, Jeff (Candace) Bannister and Jason (Julie) Bannister, all of Alton; and his parents, also of Alton.
