Born Oct. 2, 1935 in Decatur, IL, he was a son of William L. and Katherine (Boos) Hoffman.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Bill worked for a dairy for a short time before working for Firestone in Decatur for 32 years.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Moweaqua and was previously active in a church bus ministry.  His love for the Lord was evident.  He loved reading God's word and sharing it with others. (Vaughn) Dunn on Apr. 9, 1982.  Her children are Tammy (Daryl) Carlson, Sherry (Jake) Pomatto, and Bradley (John) Dunn.  He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who all adored him.

In addition to his parents and son Frank, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary, Margaret and Wilma; and his brother, Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Grace Baptist Church, 230 N. Main Street in Moweaqua.

Memorials may be made to the church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
