Obituary

Rosewood Heights—William J. "Bill" Larrick, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

Born Aug. 3, 1938 in Monette, MO, he was a son of Bertrand and Neva (Hensen) Larrick.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a supervisor for Glass Contractors, and had also worked for Owens-Illinois in Alton.  He enjoyed watching birds from his favorite chair as well as old westerns on TV.  He was a huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, and he loved eating catfish.  Most importantly, whatever he did, he loved doing it with family.

He is survived by three daughters, Connie Peters of East Alton, Tracy (Buddy) Manley and Cherie (Jason) Patton, all of Rosewood Heights; grandchildren, Matthew Peters, Stephen Peters, Brittany Edney, Bradley Peters, Brendan Manley, Chelsea Patton and Chloe Patton; a brother, Jim Larrick of Omaha, NE; a sister, Dorothy Gruhn of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly Larrick; a brother, Bob Larrick; a sister, Georgeann Tilton; and his friend and former wife, Wilma "Jane" Larrick.

The family will hold a memorial service at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at Faith Family Church of Illinois, 78 E. Jennings Ave. in Wood River.  His son-in-law, Pastor Buddy Manley will officiate.
